"To confront a person with their own shadow
is to show them their own light." C.G. Jung

Jung saw the shadow as a treasure hidden in a field, a potential source of richness, unavailable to us as long as it is buried or unconscious. Knowing our shadow, "the thing a person has no wish to be" as Jung called it - is a way of embracing and redeeming the rejected and lost parts of the soul. We need to rethink our attitude toward the shadow. It contains that which will make us whole.
